💬 Chat
Connecteam Chat now supports polls, making it easier to gather feedback and make decisions without leaving the conversation. Create a poll directly in any chat so teammates can vote using clear, structured options instead of relying on messages, emoji reactions, or external tools. Whether you’re choosing a meeting time, confirming a shift change, or gathering quick team input, polls keep conversations organized and make results easy to understand at a glance.

Creating group conversations in Chat is now more flexible with a unified Group creation flow. Instead of choosing between separate Team Chat and Channel options, a single Group can now be created and configured as either a team chat, where everyone can participate, or a channel, where only admins can post, using a simple toggle during setup.
Group conversations can also be switched between team chat and channel modes after creation, making it easier to adapt communication as team needs change over time.

📅 Schedule
A new Issues tab in Schedule Settings gives admins control over which scheduling problems are flagged and displayed in the Unresolved Issues bar. Issues-previously called conflicts and available only on the Expert plan- are now available across all plans, based on each customer’s enabled scheduling features. This makes it easier to spot and resolve scheduling problems before they affect the team.

Admins can now define employees’ regular working days, working hours, and total standard hours directly from the user profile or through Company Policies, allowing the same configuration to be applied to multiple employees.
These working hours are automatically reflected throughout the Schedule. Conflicts and daily health indicators highlight working-hours violations, employee unavailability is displayed when assigning or replacing shifts, and new shifts created from the user cell automatically reflect the employee’s working hours. Auto-assign also considers these settings, helping prevent employees from being scheduled outside their defined working hours.

⏰ Time Clock
With the new Payroll Manager permission, authorized admins can close and lock a pay period once payroll has been exported. Closing a pay period locks all timesheets within it, preventing them from being reopened or edited and helping protect payroll accuracy after processing has begun. If changes are needed, Payroll Managers can reopen the pay period, make the necessary adjustments, and close it again.

NFC tags can now be assigned directly to a specific resource, including a Site, Project, Location, or Client. When an NFC tag is linked to a resource, employees who clock in using that tag are automatically clocked into the associated resource, and the NFC address is automatically synced with the resource address.
This streamlines NFC setup and ongoing resource management by eliminating the need to first create a custom NFC and then manually configure its associated resource. The new flow reduces setup complexity, minimizes errors, and makes resource-based clock-ins easier to manage.

Admins can now manage Break Premium hours directly from the timesheet with new Dismiss Premium and Reapply Premium actions. A break premium can be dismissed for a specific break violation when needed and restored later if required.
This provides greater flexibility when reviewing timesheets and handling break premium exceptions, while maintaining accurate payroll records based on company policies.
